This level commences with lessons in ‘aqeedah about the implications of imitating others. It also includes a discussion about the signs of Allah (swt) which provide proof of His Oneness. In this grade, learners will recite the 28th Juz’ and memorize Soorat Al-Qiyaamah and Soorat Al-Muddaththir. The Seerah lessons deal with the Hijrah and the life of ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab (ra). Students will learn about wiping over the socks and other materials such as bandages and plasters. The most significant aspects of Jumu’ah Salah, the status of Zakah, and the adhkaar said before going to sleep and upon awakening are discussed as well. The final lessons in this book cover the significance of good friends and the danger of bad ones. The material is presented, using a spiral approach, where students revisit each area and study it in greater depth each year. The Student’s Textbook contains the subject text of the lessons, exercises as well as activities.

Recall the Hadeeth of Jibreel when he came in the form of a man to teach the religion. The students learn about the pillars of Iman briefly in previous grades, now in grade 5 they have more information about the pillars of Iman: Believing in Allah, The Angels, His Books, His Messengers, The Day of Judgment and Fate.

Memorize a couple of soorahs and recite nine others. They will be introduced to the meaning of these soorahs (tafseer); connection will be made between the `Akeedah lessons and the Tafseer whenever possible.

Have an idea about the sunnah of the Prophet صلّى الله عليه وسلَم and part of the seerah: The Hijrah from Mecca to Medinah.

Have some knowledge about the great sahabee and the great Caliph in Islam: `Umar ibn al-Khattab .

Have some knowledge about فقه Fikh, such as wiping over the socks during Wudu’, the importance of the Jum`aa prayer, the ruling regarding Zakah and its value.

Recall few important supplication/remembrances and realize the importance of good manners, morals and companions.
